Prone Therapy for the TriaDyne II Therapy System

 

The KCI TriaDyne™ Proning Accessory Kit accommodates both Prone Therapy and supine Kinetic Therapy™, allowing carers the flexibility to customise pulmonary therapy delivery for individual patient needs.

Features/Benefits

The TriaDyne Proning Accessory Kit offers features and benefits designed to deliver effective Prone Therapy for patients placed on the TriaDyne II Therapy System, including:

 

  • Special cushions help cradle the head in prone or side-lying position
  • Pelvic and thoracic cushions help raise the body to facilitate necessary diaphragm movement
  • Sectional pressure adjustments allow surface to be customised for anatomical differences
  • GORE® Medical Fabric helps maintain skin integrity by keeping it cool and dry while serving as an effective barrier to fluid and bacteria

Product Usage

Indications

  • Treatment and prevention of pulmonary complications associated with immobility

Contraindications

  • Uncontrolled intracranial pressure
  • Unstable fractures
  • Pregnancy
  • Unstable cervical, thoracic and/or lumbar fracture
  • Cervical and/or skeletal traction
  • Do not initiate continuous rotation while patient is in the prone position

Precautions

Precautions may also need to be taken when using this product with certain patient conditions, including but not limited to:

  • Hemodynamic instability
  • Severe agitation
  • Uncontrollable claustrophobia or fear of confinement
  • Uncontrollable diarrhoea
  • Intolerance to face down position
  • Wounds at risk of dehiscence while in prone position
  • Patient in the prone position with open sternal wound or thoracic post-surgical incision
  • Patient in prone position with open abdomen
  • Any implant that potentially increases the risk of skin breakdown including, but not limited to, breast implants or penile prosthesis
  • Pregnancy
  • Extensive facial trauma
  • Any other unstable fracture not listed as a contraindication
  • ICP monitoring or intracranial drainage devices
