The KCI environmental commitment includes:

• Managing our daily business operations in a manner that is regulation compliant, energy efficient and environmentally responsible.
  • Ensure the selection and deployment of fuel efficient vehicles within our service fleet.
  • Select and use of ecologically friendly cleaning materials in our world-wide service centres.
  • Comply with all relevant global and local regulations relating to the use and deployment of our products in all the markets we serve.
  • Continually reducing travel to minimize our carbon footprint.
• Using renewable resources in the design and manufacturing of our products and in our daily business practices whenever possible.
  • Select recyclable materials in the design and manufacture of our medical devices.
  • At the retirement of our rental products, ensuring that we recycle the materials wherever possible.
• Implementing source reduction and waste minimisation best practices throughout our manufacturing process and waste disposal activities.
  • Implement recycling programmes for paper, metals and glass in all KCI facilities
  • Introduce initiatives to minimize the use of printed materials in our communications and record keeping.
• Educating our employees and the end-users of our products on proper waste disposal methods.
  • Provide learning materials to all KCI employees on the importance of recycling and minimising waste and energy consumption both at work and in their homes.
  • Provide recycling programs at all KCI facilities.
• Working with our suppliers to purchase recycled products whenever possible and to assist our suppliers in developing environmentally friendly products and programmes.
  • Select suppliers geographically located to minimize delivery distances.
  • Encourage our suppliers to reduce waste in their own operations.
