Bariatric patient care with low air loss therapy
The KCI BariKare bed is a front-exit bariatric bed system designed to help prevent and manage pressure ulcers. The stabilization handles aid in mobility training and ambulation, while the AtmosAir™ surface provides adjustable, non-powered, dynamic pressure redistribution for patients up to 386 kg.
Features/Benefits
The BariKare bed offers features and benefits designed to help treat and prevent pressure ulcers while managing the risks associated with bariatric patient care:

- Low air-loss therapy provides airflow to help control skin temperature and manage moisture
- GORE® Medical Fabric helps maintain skin integrity by keeping it cool and dry while serving as an effective barrier to fluid and bacteria

- Cardiac chair positioning facilitates up-in-chair orders, which enhance pulmonary positioning
- 386 kg weight capacity with front exit facilitates patient ambulation
- Easy-to-use bed controls facilitate flexible patient positioning, allowing caregivers to raise and lower the bed and tilt the chair position as needed
- Built-in scale display provides instant readings at the touch of a button, located on both side rails
- Expandable Side rails accommodate wider patients, while allowing easier patient transport through doors by rotating down and tucking against frame
